Find out how Pitch Street provides personalised support for people affected by drug or alcohol addiction.
In this video, Chaise, a member of the Pitch Street team explains how the service works with each person to develop a recovery plan based on their individual needs and goals. For some, this may mean abstinence, while for others it may involve reducing their substance use.
Support can include clinical treatment such as opiate substitute prescribing and alcohol treatment, as well as psychosocial support around cravings, triggers and urges. The team can also connect people with mental health services and other specialist support where needed.
The video explores how appointments and the frequency of support can be adapted around each person’s circumstances, including work and family commitments. It also highlights Pitch Street’s multidisciplinary team, lived-experience support, criminal justice expertise and network of partner organisations.
Once structured support is complete, people can continue their recovery through the Recovery Hub and other community support. Pitch Street also operates an open-door approach, meaning people can return for further structured support if they need it.
