Recovery Near You have taken to the road in their new mobile support unit. For 6 months our NHS team will be traveling around key locations of Wolverhampton to engage with the local areas and community. We are offering needle exchange, naloxone, DBT testing, assessments, brief interventions and harm reduction advise. We will also have special dates where our partner agencies will join us as and when they would like to.
The bus started its journey last week and the first stop was Victoria Square Wolverhampton city centre. We were there Monday to Friday 10-3pm and in the first week we completed 82 Brief interventions, 5 brand new assessments for new clients, and we gave naloxone and nalpors out to 2 people. On Saturday night a team were in Queens Square from 9pm – 12pm.
