Recovery is about more than stopping substance use — it’s about developing the tools and confidence to move forward.
In this video, Hannah, a member of the Recovery Hub team explains how they support people to build the skills they need to manage their recovery independently and work towards their own goals.
The team delivers educational courses covering alcohol, stimulant and cannabis awareness, as well as relapse prevention and support for people experiencing more complex substance use. The focus is not simply on the substance itself, but on helping people understand their recovery, identify where they want to be and develop the tools to get there.
The Recovery Hub also offers ongoing opportunities to stay connected after formal treatment, including mutual aid, peer support, gardening, art and other lifestyle and activity groups. The hub provides a welcoming, relaxed and non-judgemental environment where people can continue to access community and support at their own pace.
When asked to describe the service in one word, the answer is “empowering.”
